BetMGM will reach across the Texas border to promote its online sportsbook in Louisiana through an exclusive sponsorship with the Astros that includes a large fixed sign next to the out-of-town scoreboard at Minute Maid Park and a spot in the rotation behind home plate. The deal also includes VIP experiences for BetMGM customers, including on-field access to batting practice and the opportunity to throw out ceremonial first pitches. Though sports betting is not expected to come to Texas any time soon, the Astros’ RSN broadcasts on AT&T SportsNet Southwest offer broad reach across Louisiana, where BetMGM’s competitors have paired with the two pro teams. Caesars has an extensive deal with the Saints that includes naming rights to the Superdome. The Pelicans have sponsor deals with FanDuel, BetRivers and Harrah’s, which is owned by Caesars. Caesars also has an exclusive deal with LSU athletics.
