Year in Review: New to the naming-rights space

Emerging categories helped the venue naming-rights market thrive in 2021, as more than $1.6 billion in new or extended deals were signed at 71 stadiums and arenas in the United States and Canada, according to Sports Business Journal research. The bar was reset this year when financial software company Intuit announced a 23-year, $500 million naming-rights agreement.
