The NFL has brought back former Exec VP/Public Policy & Gov't Affairs CYNTHIA HOGAN as a Senior Adviser to NFL Commissioner ROGER GOODELL (Ben Fischer, SBJ).

The NFL promoted a trio of execs from within its sponsorship group. HEATHER BRIGHAM, who leads accounts including Amazon Web Services, A-B InBev and FedEx, has been elevated from Dir to Senior Dir of Partnership Management, as has DAVID COHEN, who directs large accounts like Procter & Gamble, Verizon and Visa. MIKE MINNELLA has also been elevated from Senior Manager to Dir of Business Development (Terry Lefton, SBJ Marketing).

The Cubs promoted VP/Player Development MATT DOREY to VP/Player Personnel. This move is "part of a flurry of changes" in the Cubs' front office since CARTER HAWKINS was hired as GM last October. Dorey had been VP/Player Development since November '20. Meanwhile, the Cubs promoted VP/Special Projects JARED BANNER to VP/Player Development. Dir of Pro Scouting ANDREW BASSETT was promoted to Dir of Pro Scouting and Special Assistant to President of Baseball Operations JED HOYER and Hawkins. Senior Player Evaluation Analyst/Research & Development GARRETT CHIADO was promoted to Dir of Pro Analytics, and Assistant Dir of Research & Development CHRIS JONES was promoted to Dir of Research & Development (AP, 1/25).

The Pirates are making changes to their medical staff, as team physician DR. EDWARD SNELL is leaving after 22 years to become the Allegheny Health Network Sports Performance Medical Dir. Team physician DR. TODD FRANCO was named Dir of Physiatry, AHN Associate Dir of Sports Medicine DR. DARREN A. FRANK was named Dir of Orthopedics and AHN Associate Program Dir of Primary Sports Medicine Fellowships DR. RAVI VED was named Dir of Internal Medicine (, 1/26).
