Wisconsin hires two Deputy ADs, makes other in-house changes

The Univ. of Wisconsin hired Baylor Univ. Senior Associate AD MARCUS SEDBERRY and NFL Dir of Business Development & Partnership Management MITCHELL PINTA as Deputy ADs, according to Jeff Potrykus of the MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL. Both are "expected to join UW next month." Sedberry comes to UW after spending the last four-plus years at Baylor, where he was hired to "build a curriculum" for Baylor student-athletes so that they could "develop into community leaders." Pinta has been with the NFL for 14 seasons and has most recently been "responsible for securing long-term partnerships with top brands." UW AD CHRIS MCINTOSH also announced that current Assistant AD/HR CRAIG HANSON will "join the department’s senior staff." Hanson will focus on "culture-building, staff recruitment, retention and engagement strategies." Assistant AD/Career & Leadership BRIDGET WOODRUFF will "move into a new role" as Assistant AD/Organizational Effectiveness with a focus on "creating a culture of organizational excellence that aligns with department strategy" (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 1/15).
