Texans announce plans for season-ticket renewals

The Texans have “taken a proactive step” toward season ticket retention with “incentives for season ticket holders who renew by three deadlines” that include price reductions, game flexibility, year-long discounts and access to exclusive events, according to Brooks Kubena of the HOUSTON CHRONICLE. Attendance "has been sparse" at home for the rebuilding Texans. Texans President Greg Grissom said that he spent the year “speaking to season ticket holders and other NFL franchises” about how to "invest more value back into the folks who were investing in us." All season ticket holders who renew by May 5 will "qualify for reduced prices” in ‘22 that are “scaled by the number of years someone has been a season ticket member.” Those who renew by Feb. 4 also will “receive the same reduced pricing” for the ‘23 season. All May 5 renewals will have “access to 12 additional benefits,” which include access to exclusive on-field events and tailgates and the ability to “swap tickets to other games” on the schedule (HOUSTON CHRONICLE, 1/6). Heading into their last home game Sunday against the Titans, the Texans have averaged 66,987 fans this season at NRG Stadium, 93% of capacity, according to data from SBJ Atlas.
