Modelo is activating around its CFP sponsorship with a fan contest that features a tie-in with ESPN's Desmond Howard. The Constellation Brands brew will celebrate 30 seasons since Howard’s famous '91 punt return as a Michigan player against Ohio State, rewarding 300 fans with free beer for the '22 college football season if there is a punt returned for a TD in the Jan. 10 CFP National Championship. Fans also have the chance to win tickets to the '23 CFP title game in L.A. To enter to win either prize, fans can tweet @ModeloUSA using #CFPFightingSpiritSweepstakes and #21+ during the Jan. 3-10 promotion period (Modelo).

CHANGING ENDS:'s Jordaan Sanford notes Gael Monfils in '22 "will be taking the court with Artengo from head-to-toe, including his racquets," ending his "decade-long partnerships with Wilson and Asics." Artengo is the in-house tennis brand for sports retailer Decathlon. Its deal with Monfils is for five years (, 1/3).
