WWE and Mattel have signed a multiyear extension of their global master toy licensing agreement that includes exclusive rights around action figures, action figure accessories and kids toy title belts. Since '09, Mattel and WWE have developed toys currently available in more than 50 markets around the world. WWE and Mattel have launched multiple collaborations such as WWE and Ghostbusters and WWE and Masters of the Universe (SBJ).
BREAKFAST TIME: Quaker Oats has made a 30-second ad featuring former NFL stars Drew Brees, Jerry Rice and Jerome Bettis that shows if Quaker Oats "is a healthy way for big, strong athletes to start their day, it’s probably healthy enough for everyone else." The campaign, which comes from Mekanism, will appear on digital, social and linear television, including some NFL games. Quaker Oats North America VP/Marketing & CMO Kristin Kroepfl, whose brand is an NFL sponsor, said, "We’re invested to make sure that the brand is recognized and unmissable, especially during the oatmeal and NFL season" (ADWEEK.com, 10/20).
