Peacock to air new "SNF" postgame show hosted by Tappen, Simms

NBC Sports will “produce and debut a new postgame show” for its weekly “SNF” game on Peacock, according to Scooby Axson of USA TODAY. A source said that "Peacock Sunday Night Football Final" will be hosted by Kathryn Tappen and Chris Simms and “stream live exclusively on Peacock throughout the 2021 season.” Other NBC NFL analysts will appear on the program “to provide recaps and analysis of the day’s top NFL storylines.” The show will feature “interviews and highlights interspersed with analysis but will also allow the hosts to provide energy by showing their personalities.” Tappen said, “No swearing. But it’s not going to be like we're so regimented. It's going to be more of like, 'let’s have fun.’ We are going to talk football, have some laughs and be different from your normal postgame show." Each show “will run for about an hour” and will not air following NBC’s two Thursday night games (USA TODAY, 9/8).
