Ann has 24 years of experience in human resources, holding a variety of progressively responsible positions in several organizations. Most recently, Ann served as the Vice President of Human Resources for the St. Louis Cardinals (Major League Baseball) for close to nine years. Ann relocated to St. Louis from the Washington D.C. area to become the Executive Director of Human Resources for the Riverview Gardens School District located in North St. Louis County.
While in the Washington metro area, Ann worked for Goodwill Industries International, The HR Team, Experience Works and Sagex. Ann's human resource experience is quite varied and includes work in non-profits focusing on senior workers as well as individuals with disabilities; the oceanographic sciences, consulting, manufacturing, transportation, financial institutions, information technology, immigration, international HR, payroll administration, HRIS, public education and training.
Ann has a Bachelor degree in Mass Media Arts - Public Relations from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia; a Master Business Administration from the University of Maryland Global Campus in Adelphi, Maryland; and a Master of Jurisprudence in Labor & Employment Law from Tulane University Law School. Ann holds Professional in Human Resources (PHR) as well as SHRM -CP certifications. Ann has served on multiple local boards including The Little Bit Foundation, FOCUS St. Louis, and Diversity Awareness Partnership. She also served as a leadership team member for the Society of Multicultural Professionals in Human Resources – Greater St. Louis and the human resources committee for Metro Theatre Company. Ann is a Founding Governing Board Member of Pro Sports Assembly and is currently serving as the first Board Chair. Ann is also a graduate of the FOCUS Leadership St. Louis program. Ann claims to be a mid-west/southern kid having grown up in Indiana and Oklahoma. She is also an avid baker who dreams of opening her own bakery one day as well as has a passion for reading and continuous learning.
