Kenny Gersh is the Executive Vice President, Business Development, for Major League Baseball. Gersh is responsible for driving new revenue streams and business initiatives for MLB which includes all business aspects of the league’s sports betting strategy, data distribution and fantasy games. He also oversees business aspects of new and emerging media opportunities, digital media relationships and minor league baseball business operations.
Previously, Gersh served as Executive Vice President, Business for MLB Advanced Media, the interactive media company of MLB, where he was responsible for MLBAM's licensing, distribution and gaming business in addition to all other business development activities. Prior to the spinoff of BAMTech from MLBAM and its subsequent purchase by The Walt Disney Company, Gersh was responsible for the business activities of BAMTech, which provided video distribution services for dozens of clients including the National Hockey League, PGA TOUR, HBO, ESPN, WWE, Sony Playstation Vue and CBS Sports.
Gersh joined MLBAM in September 2006 from CBS Digital Media, operator of CBS's online, interactive and wireless initiatives, where he was Vice President of Business Development. Prior to that role Gersh was Vice President and General Counsel of SportsLine.com until its acquisition by CBS in December 2004. Gersh also served as an associate with Greenberg Traurig in Miami and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in New York City. He holds a BS in Business Administration from Boston University and a JD from the University of Southern California Law Center.
